Case Study

Arun District Council's King George V's Playground project underscores Wicksteed Leisure's dedication to inclusive play spaces catering to all ages and abilities.

With a clear brief from the council, Wicksteed delivered a diverse range of play equipment within a bespoke Knights theme. The project requirements were comprehensive, including the installation of a Cabelway Zip Wire, toddler and junior multiplay units, a variety of swings, and additional pieces of equipment including a
4 Saw See Saw, Trim Trail, and Rock ' Bowl Roundabout.

Accessibility was prioritised, with the addition of the Swirl Inclusive Roundabout and linking paths to ensure ease of access to all equipment. Wicksteed successfully fulfilled the brief by designing, manufacturing, and installing the specified products within the themed framework. Bespoke knight-themed Talking Tubes were also
incorporated to enhance the play experience.

Despite challenges such as poor weather conditions and the site flooding, Wicksteed remained committed to completing the project within the designated timeframe. The playground was ready for public use just in time for the Easter Holidays, providing a new and inclusive space for the community.

The King George V's Playground project highlights Wicksteed Leisure's commitment to quality, innovation, and inclusivity in recreational design. Through efficient execution and attention to detail, Wicksteed continues to set the standard for engaging play environments that enrich communities.
