We have a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and target driven sales professional to develop and build upon the strong business base we have in the North West.
Reporting to the National Sales Managers and Group Commercial Director, and as part of a UK wide team, the successful candidate will:
Build close relationships with existing clients particularly Local Authorities.
Be actively involved in the strategy for your Tender and Quotation submissions
Organise and plan an ambitious diary, ensuring sales targets are consistently met.
Follow up on sales opportunities & marketing initiatives introducing new clients, in a timely manner, to Wicksteed.
Survey client sites, producing costings and design briefs to meet customer needs
Full training will be given in all aspects of the role and will be supported by a backup team second to none within the industry. The ideal candidate will be customer focused, numerate, IT literate with good organisational skills and able to demonstrate a proven sales background.
The role with Wicksteed is not a ‘number of calls per day’ situation. It is about developing working relationships with key customers and stakeholders and responding quickly.

Marketing Assistant

Marketing Assistant
Reporting into the Marketing Executive and National Sales Manager, we are looking for a part time (school friendly hours) Marketing Assistant. This new role will work alongside the National Sales Manager, Marketing Executive and Directors to drive and develop marketing campaigns through the website and social media, advertisements, events and exhibitions. They will be responsible for aiding in the development of the marketing strategies that will deliver quality inbound leads for the design and installation of playgrounds in Local Authority settings, Parish Councils, Schools, House Builders & local attractions.
What we want you to do:
Assist the Marketing Executive in preparing, planning and managing marketing to maximise lead generation.
Create innovative social media campaigns that effectively communicate with our customer base.
Help to plan and manage events and exhibitions across the UK.
Create case studies to promote completed work to new customers.
Liaise with the Sales Department to analyse market trends and react with appropriate marketing material.
Plan, develop and deliver campaigns within agreed targets, timescales and budgets.
Liaise with external SEO & PPC agency to maximise return on investment from online campaigns
Manage and update the website and social media
Create monthly newsletters to go out via Mailchimp
Take responsibility for customer Social Value offerings
Other ad hoc tasks
What we are looking for:
Previous marketing experience is essential
Familiarity with Google Analytics and CRM.
An understanding of the play sector or the educational play market would be a benefit.
Friendly personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
A solid understanding of implementing social media campaigns/messages.
Excellent organisational and planning skills, able to prioritise work, manage time effectively, and work autonomously.
Excellent writing skills, for writing briefs, website content and blogs.
Familiarity with CMS (Content Management System) for website
Willingness to learn and adapt the role to the needs of a growing business.
What qualifications do you need?
· Computer literate; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc
· Relevant Degree level qualification in Marketing or experience in a similar role
