Newry Mourne & Down Council – Mayobridge

This was a brand new play area created beside the local GAA grounds at Mayobridge. It includes our popular Gaheris Castle multi-play system, a Skiddaw Climber, Cableway, plenty of swing provision, including flats, cradles and basket seats, a Ground Trampoline, Little Miss Muffet multi-play unit for younger children, and a bespoke Mayobridge Train and Station playscene. A mini Skate Park is also included on the colourful scheme complete with inlaid graphic surfacing.

“A brand new play park in Mayobridge was open to the public on Thursday 30th August 2018 to the delight of the local community. Funding for the project was part of the Newry Mourne and Down Play Strategy 2017-2022 in order to improve the play value of its play park in the district. While local residents played an important part in the design of the new park, Wicksteed designers then took that brief and delivered a showcase park that will be a fantastic asset for everyone in the community.”
