What we are talking about…

New nautical play area at Killough Play Park!

February 13, 2020

The customer wanted a fun and exciting nautical theme and predominantly timber equipment for this seaside village playground. The area for the playground was originally a car park with an old toilet block base. The equipment choices were based on a community consultation report, customer budget and space available.

The focal piece is our Pinta Columbus Galleon Multi-Play Boat, we added a nameplate – The Killough Cruiser. Children can slide, crawl, balance and hide on this fantastic unit and younger children will enjoy taking on the role of Pirate, Captain, and Passenger etc. It is floating in a sea of blue wet pour with a faraway island shore around it. This is further complemented with a set of Talking Pirates, Buddy Board seesaw, Sands of Time sensory panel and 2 Palm Trees to help set the scene. There is also plenty of swing provision for all ages and abilities and a wheelchair accessible roundabout. There is a Spinney multi-play unit from our popular Forest Range suitable for approx. ages 8 years and above with lots of play features to delight and challenge users.
