New Alver Valley Country Park Playground
Exciting New Adventure Playground Arrives at Alver Valley Country Park!
A gigantic project to install a modern and exciting, bespoke play area within Alver Valley Country Park in Gosport, has been completed and is ready to entertain park visitors! Commissioned by Gosport Borough Council, Wicksteed Playgrounds has designed the bespoke scheme, incorporating many of the natural, wildlife elements seen within the park as well as some extraordinarily exciting features such as a Hill Fort Play Zone and a 12m high Pyramid Trio Tower and double zip wire! Divided into 3 separate play areas, Toddler, Junior and Senior, this fantastic new playground will have thrills and enjoyment for every age range and is going to be hard to beat in terms of outstanding play provision!
“This is one of our largest projects, costing £450,000, and has involved extensive landscaping and the installation of larger play structures such as the impressive Pyramid Trio Tower which will give kids an incredible birds eye view of the play area. The many bespoke elements mean that this is a truly unique play space and we hope will bring in visitors far and wide as a play destination,” commented Wicksteed Sales Director, Stuart Wetherell.
As well as the bespoke double-tower castle, this spectacular play area features 3 tube slides, a bespoke climbing wall featuring snakes, newts and other creatures, as well as QR codes on signs around the site where information on local wildlife can be accessed via visitors’ mobile devices. To ensure a great play experience for everyone there are several inclusive play items as well as easy access to all areas, plus provision for cyclists with cycle paths around the perimeter of the play area and cycle racks.
“This is a fantastic facility and an exciting addition to the Alver Valley Country Park which ensures that the children have the option of a healthy lifestyle. The items of play equipment within the facility are well suited for a Country Park environment and encourage children and families to connect with nature and enjoy the vast area of the Country Park”, commented Stevyn Ricketts, Head of Streetscene, Gosport Borough Council.
